Behind Bridge City Aquarium is owner and founder Jarrod Chavez—a lifelong aquarist whose love for nature runs deep. From an early age, Jarrod was captivated by the complexity and harmony of living systems. What began as a childhood fascination with reptiles and amphibians quickly blossomed into a full-fledged calling. He taught himself everything he could, eventually breeding dozens of species of fish and reptiles and turning his passion into a lifelong profession.

For Jarrod, aquariums aren’t just décor—they’re windows into the wonder of the natural world. His mission is simple: to bring a slice of the wild into everyday life, and to help others experience the joy, peace, and curiosity that a well-cared-for aquatic environment can inspire.
